For over 20 years Graham Dews has built up an extensive and diverse body of work under the graffiti pseudonym PARIS, producing hand crafted letter forms, graffiti art and graphics for the design, music, film and fashion industries.
For the peoples of Hull ya dont stop! His early work came courtesy of the cover of darkness, in abandoned buildings and warehouses in the city of Hull. After a migration south, Graham gained a First Class BA Hons Degree in Fashion & Textile Design at the University of The West of England (Bristol).
TCF , Wiesbaden Germany Joined by the other members of TCF (Twentieth Century Frescoes Crew, the seminal UK aerosol art team), he went on to paint hundreds of graffiti masterpieces and burners throughout the UK as well as collaborate with artists from around the world, including France, Switzerland, Spain and Germany.
As with his graffiti, Graham is continually pushing his art work in new directions. His digital work ranges from stylised logos and fonts, to dynamic patterns and limited edition prints and posters as well as canvass, printed fabrics and the ultimate surface of the city streets.
A real 20th Century Frescoe, by Xenz & Paris, Bristol 04 In 2002 Graham created a series of landmark paintings in and around Bristol. These works were initially inspired by the English painters Constable and Turner, fusing classical beauty with the energy of spray can art.
Mudwig & Paris initiate an abandoned Building 04 In more recent years, he has explored new ground as part of Kuildoosh, working on experimental painting, print and film projects, such as the collaboration with FLAT-e for Sony PSP. This exposure has led to the publishing of his work in Thames & Hudsons, Street Logos, Stencil Graffiti, Graffiti World, and Die Geshtaltern's, Tres Logos.
